OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation meeting with opposition parties

The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation, which is on an official visit to Georgia, is meeting with representatives of opposition parties.

At this stage, the delegation is holding a meeting with representatives of the Coalition for Change.

The meeting is attended by: Zurab Japaridze, Giga Lemonjava, Nika Gvaramia, Giorgi Butikashvili and Tengo Tevzadze. The politicians did not comment before the meeting.

Earlier, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation held a meeting in the Parliament with the Speaker of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili. The following also participated in the meeting: Deputy Speaker Ilia Injia, Head of the Permanent Delegation of the Georgian Parliament to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Nikoloz Samkharadze, Member of the said delegation, Chairperson of the Committee on Environment Protection and Natural Resources Maia Bitadze, Member of the delegation, Deputy Chairperson of the parliamentary political group People’s Power Eka Sepashvili. After that, the members of the delegation held a meeting with representatives of Gakharia for Georgia.

For information, the delegation visited Georgia on March 8 and will end its visit on March 10. It is headed by the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Pere Joan Pons Sampietro.

The delegation also includes: Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Special Representative for the South Caucasus Luis Graça (Portugal); Vice-Chairman of the Political Affairs and Security Committee Jevrosima Pejović (Montenegro); Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs Christine Blower (United Kingdom); and Secretary General of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Roberto Montella.
