According to the Chairperson of the National Movement, Tina Bokuchava, in the conditions when there are “many political prisoners” in the country and “repressive laws” continue to be adopted, there is no space for dialogue. Bokuchava told journalists after meeting with the OSCE delegation.
In particular, according to Bokuchava, the function of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly is to search for a space for dialogue, although the opposition explained to them that in the current conditions there is no space for dialogue.
According to her, initially the challenges existing in the country must be overcome in order to open a space and opportunity for dialogue.
"Naturally, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly is about finding a space for dialogue. This is their function and mission not only in relation to Georgia, but also to all countries, although they understand very well and we have explained once again that where the dictator Ivanishvili arrests people for absolutely no reason, we have many more political prisoners per capita in the country than in Putin's Russia, where repressive laws continue to be passed and there are no conditions where people can make a free choice at the ballot box, naturally, there is no space for dialogue in such conditions. Therefore, challenges must be overcome in order to reach the opportunity to open a space and opportunity for dialogue," said Tina Bokuchava.
