Tata Khvedeliani - Dialogue is a very important tool and a given that should be established in the country, but this dialogue is being destroyed by two forces - the Georgian Dream and the National Movement

Of course, dialogue is a very important tool and a given that should be established in our country, but this dialogue is being destroyed by two forces - the Georgian Dream and the National Movement, - Tata Khvedeliani, a member of the Gakharia for Georgia party, told journalists while assessing the statement of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation.

According to her, the National Movement and the Georgian Dream are destroying the space for dialogue with “their radical decisions, announcements of radical scenarios, radical legislative initiatives and increasing the level of radicalism that exists in our country.”

“You have heard this from our political force many times that boycotting the parliament and the elections was a mistake. We have resumed parliamentary work and are using any peaceful means to reduce the number of Dream voters.

As for other reservations and points that OSCE representatives are talking about, of course, dialogue is a very important tool and a given that must be established in our country, but this dialogue is being destroyed by two forces - the Georgian Dream and the National Movement. These two forces are destroying the space for this dialogue with their radical decisions, announcements of radical scenarios, radical legislative initiatives and increasing the level of radicalism in our country,” said Tata Khvedeliani.

When asked what steps should be taken to establish a dialogue, Khvedeliani replied that for this, first of all, the level of radicalism should be reduced and those innocent people should be released, “who are currently locked up in Georgian prisons because they caused discomfort to the Dream.

According to Khvedeliani, the party is now working on a legislative initiative regarding amnesty.

“That is why we are working on a legislative initiative on amnesty, which will allow our country to reduce this high level of radicalism and restart the development of our country," said Tata Khvedeliani.

For information, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation states that the absence of political dialogue in Georgia is a serious obstacle to stability and addressing problems in the country.
