Patriarch’s banner placed on Palace of Parliament in honor of his memory

In honor of the memory of the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia, a banner of Ilia II has been placed on the Palace of Parliament.

By decision of the State Commission, headed by Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, the banners of the Patriarch will also be placed on administrative buildings across the country.

The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, passed away at the age of 93. Mourning has been declared in Georgia in connection with the death of Ilia II. The Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, will be buried on March 22 at the Sioni Cathedral.
