Nika Gvaramia - Many believers were not given the opportunity to enter the Trinity Cathedral and say goodbye to Ilia II - "I built it, it is mine, and I will let in whoever I want" - this was written on Ivanishvili's face

Many believers, many true followers of the Patriarch were not given the opportunity to enter the Trinity Cathedral and say goodbye to Ilia II. Couldn't they enter? They simply weren't allowed in - the Trinity Cathedral was occupied by Bidzina and his personal entourage. "I built it, it's mine, and I'll let whoever I want in" - that's what was written on Ivanishvili's face, - Nika Gvaramia, the leader of the Coalition for Change, writes on social networks.

According to him, as it turned out yesterday, citizens' freedom to express their grief was also restricted.

"Many believers, many true followers of the Patriarch, were not given the opportunity to enter the Trinity Cathedral and say goodbye to Ilia II. They simply weren't allowed in - the Trinity Cathedral was occupied by Bidzina and his personal entourage. "I built it, it's mine, and I'll let in whoever I want" - that was written on Ivanishvili's face. It’s our time, and not only in joy, but also in tragedy, we should be the only ones seen - this was written on the faces of Ivanishvili's arrogant men and women, who rejected the commandment "You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below: you shall not worship them, nor serve them."

And this happened among them because only a small part of the nation and the monks raised their voices 8 years ago, when Ivanishvili performed the wedding of his son in Svetitskhoveli and closed the temple to everyone, just as clubs and restaurants are closed for private events. The Svetitskhoveli Monastery, the greatest historical symbol of Georgian Orthodoxy, was closed to believers, which probably happened centuries ago during the coronation ceremony of a Georgian king. This was eight years ago, and yesterday the Trinity Cathedral was closed to believers”, Gvaramia said.
