Shalva Papuashvili - The European Union is ungrateful to Georgia - we see that there was an attempt to slander Kulevi, this is how they respond to our support

The European Union is ungrateful to Georgia. We see that there was an attempt to slander Kulevi. This is how they respond to our support, - the Speaker of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, told journalists.

According to him, "Georgia has no obligation to comply with EU sanctions, but it does so only out of respect for the Ukrainian people, and not for the authorities in Brussels or Kyiv."

"Despite the fact that there is slander regarding Georgia, not a single fact has been proven that sanctions are being insured in Georgia. We adhere to these conditions despite the ungratefulness of the European Union towards Georgia. We see that there was an attempt to slander regarding Kulevi, this is how they respond to our support. We have no obligation to adhere to the EU sanctions, we only provide all this out of respect for and support of the Ukrainian people, and not for the authorities in Brussels or Kyiv, but we see ingratitude, including from Brussels. The most recent example of ingratitude was the slander regarding Kulevi, which was proven to be an absolute lie. There is no evidence of violation of sanctions, after which we did not even hear an apology from them," Papuashvili said.
