The Anaklia Port can play a pivotal role in the Black Sea region in terms of security, economy, and diversification of energy sources. To ensure real peace in Georgia, the status of the Anaklia Port must be defined as a strategic object of national importance, — stated Irakli Kupradze, General Secretary of “Lelo – Strong Georgia,” at a briefing.

According to Irakli Kupradze, against the backdrop of geopolitical instability in the region and ongoing conflicts, the “Georgian Dream” government’s declared “isolationist and anti-national, anti-Western” policy, which relies on it, puts Georgia in danger.

“The Anaklia deep-water port project, like the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, is the only large-scale idea that fully aligns with the strategic priorities declared by the United States and the Trump administration. The United States’ interest in this project has not diminished.

It is precisely the Anaklia Port that can play a game-changing role in the Black Sea region regarding security, economy, and diversification of energy sources. To protect real peace in Georgia, the status of the Anaklia Port must be determined as a strategic object of national importance.

That is why the real implementation of the Anaklia project is necessary, not an imitation process. Anaklia is not just a port; it is Georgia’s national and geopolitical choice, and the Georgian people have already made this choice!

There are national interests that stand above everything — Anaklia is exactly such an interest for Georgia!

To implement the ‘Anaklia project,’ the state must today provide the following political guarantees and make clear public commitments:

• The Anaklia deep-water port project must be declared the #1 national priority.
• The leading role in the project must be given to American and transatlantic financial institutions.
• The Anaklia Port must be declared a strategic object of national importance.
• There must be no dominance in the project by structures connected to Russian or Chinese state interests.
• The Anaklia project and all related contracts must be public in order to prevent what happened in the case of the fake Arab investment.

Following the Armenia-Azerbaijan agreement, a highly important international transit route has emerged in the South Caucasus, called the ‘Trump Route.’ This route must not bypass Georgia, and this can only be achieved by building the Anaklia Port, which will be the logical continuation of the ‘Trump Route.’ We appeal to all involved parties to name the Anaklia Port after President Trump and make it the gateway of the ‘Trump Route’ to the Western world, which will bring us security, Western investments, and economic growth.

Our political team is ready — both now and immediately upon coming to power — to ensure the fulfillment of all these conditions!

It is precisely ‘Strong Georgia – Lelo’ that has a concrete plan and experience that will ensure the rapid construction of this port and, along with it, the development of ‘Anaklia City,’ which will create tens of thousands of jobs for Georgia.

We see that another window of opportunity has opened, and we must not allow Ivanishvili’s corrupt officials to once again ruin this great idea!
