Georgia welcomes the announced ceasefire between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran and commends the effective mediation efforts that facilitated it, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze writes on the social network X.

The head of government expressed hope that this step will contribute to de-escalation and encourage lasting peace in the region.

“Georgia welcomes the announced ceasefire between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran and commends the effective mediation efforts that facilitated it. We hope this step will contribute to de-escalation and encourage continued diplomatic engagement to secure lasting peace and stability in the region", - Kobakhidze noted.
