“Opposition Alliance”: Georgia’s independence is under threat, as it cannot survive under Ivanishvili’s Russian dictatorship - the peaceful dismantling of the regime is vital to defend freedom and peace

The “Opposition Alliance” states that Georgia’s independence is under threat, as it “cannot survive under Ivanishvili’s Russian dictatorship.”

According to the statement, 35 years ago the Georgian people, through a unified will, decided on Georgia’s independence from Russia, and that same unified will of the Georgian people must now save independence “from the Russian regime of oligarch Ivanishvili – now!”

The statement notes that, in order to protect freedom and peace, “the peaceful dismantling of the regime is vital,” as it has placed the country in “isolation from the free world.”

“April 9 is one of the most important days in Georgia’s modern history.

On this day, the citizens of Georgia, through heroic sacrifice and struggle, regained Georgia’s independence and effectively brought an end to Soviet occupation.

After this day, the Communist Party in Georgia was finally broken, and preparations began for restoring national independence.

Ultimately, on March 31, 1991, 3.3 million citizens of Georgia unanimously supported the restoration of independence.

Through the unified will of the Georgian people, Georgia’s independence from Russia was decided 35 years ago, and that same unified will must now save independence from the Russian regime of oligarch Ivanishvili – now!

Georgia’s independence is under threat, as it cannot survive under Ivanishvili’s Russian dictatorship.

Georgia’s independence cannot survive if it is left completely unprotected and alone in the face of Russia. To defend freedom and peace, the peaceful dismantling of the regime is vital, as it has placed the country in isolation from the free world.

Therefore, the Alliance announces a large-scale gathering on May 26, Georgia’s Independence Day, in order to begin a process of national mobilization around the idea of independence, similar to the historic March 31 referendum, which will ultimately bring down the traitorous regime and return the country to its historical path of development.

Join us – for victory, together, to the end!”
