Three inmates, Anton Chechin, Artem Gribul and Sergey Kukharchuk, have signed a plea agreement in the case of playing cards in prison. Each of them will have to pay a fine of 5,000 GEL.
Lawyer Daria Samodurova told InterpressNews about this.
According to the lawyer, all three of them admit that they played cards in a penitentiary institution, which means using a prohibited item. According to her, all three of them were facing 3 to 5 years of imprisonment in the case. According to the lawyer, all three agreed to sign a plea agreement in the case.
“I was initially prepared to fight, it was a very interesting legal case for me, but 3 to 5 years in prison is no joke. They admitted that they really played, but not for interest, but it was just a game,” said Daria Samodurova.
