“We, ‘Strong Georgia – Lelo’, are used to such threats from Irakli Kobakhidze and, in general, from Georgian Dream. Since our creation, we have constantly been under political injustice. Therefore, we once again remind them that we will be on every front of the struggle—whether it is the Constitutional Court, elections, or street protests. ‘Strong Georgia – Lelo’ will fight everywhere,” said Lana Galdava, a member of ‘Strong Georgia – Lelo’, in response to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s statement that everyone can prepare for parliamentary elections, but other processes will also take place, including in the Constitutional Court.
According to Galdava, the day is not far when Georgian Dream will be defeated and political forces oriented toward the West and closer to Georgia’s national interests will win.
“Strong Georgia – Lelo” is used to the threatening tone from Georgian Dream and from Irakli Kobakhidze. In general, such threats are used when the opponent is strong, and we know that ‘Strong Georgia – Lelo’ is strong, which is why they oppose us using all prohibited methods. We once again remind them that we are used to fighting—we will fight in the Constitutional Court, through elections, and through street protests. They should not expect that anyone will lay down their arms. Our struggle will definitely end in victory,” Galdava said.
She also spoke about the importance of the Anaklia deep-sea port project, noting that Anaklia will inevitably become the “gateway of the Trump Route.”
“The statement by Joe Wilson once again confirms what ‘Strong Georgia – Lelo’ has been saying consistently—that the Anaklia port is among the strategic priorities of the United States and the Trump administration. The Anaklia port must become the gateway of the ‘Trump Route.’ It is essential that it be built with Western investment. The Anaklia port is a guarantee of our country’s long-term peace, and for that we need the right proposal—and the right proposal is the one presented by ‘Strong Georgia – Lelo’,” Galdava said.
For context, in an interview with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Congressman Joe Wilson stated that it is critically important for the United States that the infrastructure of the Anaklia port remains open and does not come under the dominance of Beijing.
“One of the key concerns we have is the growing cooperation between Russia and the Chinese Communist Party, especially regarding the Black Sea port of Anaklia.
China’s interest in Anaklia is linked to controlling the transport of rare minerals from Central Asia. These resources are to pass through Georgia, making the port strategically important. It is critically important for the United States that this infrastructure remains open and is not dominated by Beijing,” Joe Wilson said.
