Maka Bochorishvili: Georgia has nothing to change; it is unclear what Kaja Kallas does not like about this course - If anyone should change their approach, it is only the current EU bureaucracy

The use of the European Union as an instrument toward Georgia by Kaja Kallas continues, and if anyone needs to change anything, it is first and foremost the bureaucracy in Brussels, which should change its attitude toward Georgia. We have never refused dialogue with the European Union, even on important issues that they themselves often emphasize, – said Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Bochorishvili when speaking to journalists in response to comments made by the EU High Representative Kaja Kallas.

Bochorishvili also stated that Georgia’s policy is focused on “protecting the country’s interests, ensuring peace and stability, and promoting economic development.”

“Georgia has nothing to change. The Georgian government is elected by the people, it protects the best interests of our country and does what serves those interests in order to ensure peace, stability, and appropriate conditions for economic development. What Kaja Kallas does not like about this course is unclear, and why this course is incompatible with the European Union is also unclear. Accordingly, if anyone needs to change their attitude, it is solely the current EU bureaucracy in Brussels,” Bochorishvili said.
