Shalva Papuashvili - We see where Brussels values are leading us, hate speech is incited from there - we must return all spheres to Georgian values, because Brussels values are harmful to our country

The language of hatred and contempt is not just a matter of aesthetics, it is not just a matter of emotions, it is a matter of state security, since this method is used by foreign special services to influence the internal politics of our country, - this was stated by the Speaker of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, in response to a question asked by journalists about the initiative to create a special department within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which will systemically monitor hate speech and aggressive communication in the public space.

According to Papuashvili, hate speech is a weapon that the country's ill-wishers use against Georgia.

"We must understand that this is not just a matter of aesthetics, that the language of hatred and contempt is being used. This is a matter of our country's security, since inciting and sowing hatred and contempt is one of the main weapons that our country's ill-wishers have in their hands. This is the very tool they are using to destabilize the country - to bring discord, to bring hatred in order to then turn people against each other, to destroy the country and then achieve beneficial results for themselves.

Therefore, the language of hatred and contempt is not just a matter of aesthetics, it is not just a matter of emotions, it is a matter of state security, since this method is being used, copied from the books of foreign special services, to influence the internal politics of our country, to create confusion in society and to turn people against each other. Therefore, it is important that the state proactively takes it upon itself to prevent the use of such tools in our country," he said. Papuashvili.

According to him, hate speech is incited from Brussels. According to Papuashvili, Brussels' values are harmful to Georgia.

“We must be able to return all spheres of our society to Georgian values. Unfortunately, we see that hate speech is incited from Brussels. We see that there are several ambassadors who are involved in this; we see MEPs who are involved in this language of hatred and use fascist expressions against the Georgian people.

If you look at social media, everyone who sows hatred on social media, you would see them all on Europe Day on May 9. These are the same faces, the same names that Brussels is embracing today. They are the ones who are trying to sow hatred in society. Therefore, we must return all spheres to Georgian values, because the values of Brussels are harmful to our country. Therefore, we must return to our own, to be within our cultural framework and not be influenced by others. We will give an appropriate response to the hatred, confrontation, and strife we have been subjected to," Papuashvili said.
