Nika Gvaramia - It is impossible to pursue Western political and economic interests where the Russian will is being implemented, because Russia does not want it, and therefore Bidzina Ivanishvili does not want it either, and he opposes it

It is impossible to pursue Western political and economic interests where the Russian will is being implemented, because Russia does not want this, and therefore Bidzina Ivanishvili does not want this either, he opposes it. This visit made it very clear that our partners and allies understand this well, - Nika Gvaramia, one-nation leader of the Coalition for Change, told journalists after a meeting with a delegation from the US Department of State.

According to Nika Gvaramia, stability in the country is hindered by the Georgian Dream and Russia standing behind it.

"Someone may think that American interest is only an economic interest in this country, but it is not and cannot be. First of all, this interest is determined by the position of the Georgian people, which is not compatible with the policy implemented by the Georgian Dream. It is impossible to pursue Western political and economic interests where the Russian will is being implemented, because Russia does not want this, therefore, Bidzina Ivanishvili does not want this either, he opposes it, this is his task, in my opinion. This visit made it very clear that our partners and allies understand this well. Therefore, when it comes to economic cooperation, we only welcome it, this is our main interest, as patriots and political actors of this country, but without the prerequisites that imply the main basic principles of democracy, of course, any economic project is impossible. In a country where there is no court at all, where there is political destabilization led by the government, including through the taking of political prisoners hostage, simply no investor will come, especially an American one. Therefore, we told them that this can only be resolved in the only way, by sidelining the government that promotes Russian interests, but it is clear that they understand this too," said Nika Gvaramia.
