Irakli Kobakhidze on Kaja Kallas' statement – This statement should be followed by other steps and not by something that artificially creates additional risks for the country in various directions

Everyone should be consistent in protecting our national interests. We should not just make statements on specific topics. We should show through actions that the European bureaucracy is on the side of the Georgian people, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.

In particular, Irakli Kobakhidze commented on the statement of the EU High Representative, Kaja Kallas, regarding the demand for the withdrawal of Russian troops from Georgia and Moldova.

As the head of government noted, all these years, “the European bureaucracy has been on the opposite side” and opposed the national interests of the Georgian people and Georgia.

"When it comes to protecting our national interests, other steps should follow and not something that artificially creates additional risks for the country in various directions. Therefore, everyone should be consistent in protecting our national interests. Statements should not be made only on specific topics. They should show us with actions that the European bureaucracy stands on the side of the Georgian people. Until now, the European bureaucracy has been on the opposite side for all these years and opposed the national interests of our Georgian people, Georgia," the Prime Minister said.
