Georgians love our country exceptionally, we are exceptionally attached to our traditions. For example, one of my favorite films is “Roots” and I cannot help but cry bitter tears at the end of it, it really shows how precious our beloved homeland is to each of us, - Tsotne Ivanishvili, the son of the founder and honorary chairman of the Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili, stated in Sighnaghi, within the framework of the regional tour of the youth organization, in response to a question asked by young people about leaving the country.
According to Tsotne Ivanishvili, through joint efforts and the development of the country, the result will be achieved - strengthening Georgia to such an extent that the society will no longer have the desire to leave the country.
“There is such a challenge, I have heard similar opinions, challenges, dilemmas from friends. I think that Georgians love our country exceptionally, we are exceptionally attached to our traditions. For example, one of my favorite films is “Roots” and I cannot help but cry bitter tears at the end of it, it really shows how precious our beloved homeland is to each of us.
It is clear that solving many problems requires time, requires a stable situation in the country, a necessary factor for this is peace, but today we have heard so many interesting projects, so many interesting ideas, from an academic and cultural perspective, I am sure that the youth organization will mediate each project, will try to help and stand by each young person, and with joint efforts, through the development of our country, I definitely believe that we will achieve that Georgia is a country that is very clearly in tune with the times and, on the contrary, that moment, that desire to leave [the country] that you mentioned, does not exist. Of course, many things take time, many projects take time, but for this, a stable situation and peace in the country are essential and fundamental, which we thank God we have, and we will try, the youth organization will try, and I personally will try if I can, to stand by you with your ideas and projects and try to implement all your ideas and opinions," said Tsotne Ivanishvili.
