Parents of Indian tourist who died in Tbilisi have told Indian media that their son was living in a rented apartment and was experiencing psychological pressure from the owner, who demanded money from him

The parents of an Indian student who died in Tbilisi say their son had been threatened before he disappeared.

Indian media spoke to the parents of a student who went missing in Tbilisi a few days ago.

According to the parents of the student, Dwanit Rajdeep, they last had contact with their son on May 14, after which his mobile phone went off and it became impossible to contact him.

According to the media, the parents also sent Dwanit's brother to Tbilisi to search for their missing son and also appealed to the local authorities for mediation.

According to the parents, during their last phone conversation, Dwanit informed them that the owner of the apartment in Tbilisi was threatening him.

According to the parents, Dwanit Rajdeep lived in a rented apartment in Tbilisi, where he was subjected to psychological pressure from the owner, named Anil, who was demanding money from him. The family claims that they paid the owner of the apartment, and then Dwanit moved to another apartment.

The family claims that Dvanit was returning to his homeland and even had a plane ticket. According to his parents, Dvanit went to the airport on May 14 to fly home, but soon contact with him has been lost.

“My son has been living in Georgia for the last two years. The person from whom he rented an apartment was harassing him. The person had behaved like this in the past as well. Previously, a girl lived there, who was extorted money. She then left Georgia and returned to India,” said the student’s father, Mayurkumar Rajdeep.
