You know, we have such good relations with Georgia that it is difficult to even talk about deepening these relations, - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a journalist after voting in the ongoing parliamentary elections.
“Of course, it is about emotions. The emotions between Armenia and Georgia are great and full, but there is a lot of economic and political agenda, and we will cooperate with Georgia more and more closely, as closely as possible,” - Pashinyan added.
Parliamentary elections are underway in Armenia.
The Armenian parliament will be elected under a proportional system. Eighteen political forces - 16 parties and two blocs of parties - are competing for seats in the 9th convocation of the National Assembly of Armenia. The threshold required to enter parliament is 4% for parties and 8% for party blocs.
Western media reports that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s ruling Civil Contract party is likely to face the biggest challenge from three main opposition blocs.
