According to the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, the Georgian-Chinese relations are moving to a new stage, which implies a comprehensive strategic partnership.
As Kobakhidze stated at a press conference held at the Government Administration, the corresponding agreement was signed today.
"Relations with China are an issue that deserves a special government briefing. Today is a very important day, you know that about three years ago we had a strategic partnership agreement between Georgia and China and now we are moving to the next stage, this is the stage of a comprehensive strategic partnership. These three years have brought a lot to bilateral relations. Our political and economic ties have deepened a lot, which was also expressed in specific actions, including, you know, visa-free travel has been established, we have direct flights, new flights are being added this year, which ensures greater mobility between Georgia and China, and also, in terms of trade and economy, we have very specific tangible results. This was brought about by the strategic partnership agreement signed three years ago and now we are moving to a new stage, this is the stage of a comprehensive strategic partnership, which will bring even more results in terms of deepening Georgian-Chinese relations. This is a very important agreement that was signed today,"- said Kobakhidze.
