Grigol Gegelia - I was informed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has opened a case against someone named Gabadze under the pretext of insulting me - I have not sued anyone - I respect freedom of political expression

I have not sued anyone! I do not even know who this person is - I am even sorry for this person that he is still the supporter of the Dream in 2026. How could I sue a person in such great distress? - Grigol Gegelia, one of the leaders of Lelo - Strong Georgia, writes on social networks and explains that he was contacted by the Batumi court and informed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs had opened a case against one person under the pretext of insulting him.

In addition, Gegelia noted that the Georgian Dream is pretending to fight hate speech and equally enforce the law. As the politician noted, "he will not be part of this farce!"

“I got a call from the Batumi court. I was informed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has opened a case against Gabadze for insulting me. I want to emphasize the following:

I have not sued anyone. I do not even know who this person is - I think it is already a trouble for him to be a supporter of the Dream in 2026. How could I sue a person in such great distress?

I respect freedom of political expression, regardless of the opinion expressed. This is a sacred principle; I understand what a struggle I am in. In this process, I have an obligation to be patient, which I have been advocating for years; no one has the right to restrict freedom of opinion, and especially the freedom to express a political position. This regime hates all forms of freedom; The regime that politically persecutes people, abolishes parties, imprisons political prisoners, attacks and curses opponents using thousands of trolls, which has not punished the absolute majority of aggressors - now wants to stage a farce, as if it is fighting hate speech and as if it is equally enforcing the law. Of course, I will not be a part of this farce!

Well, if they still want to enforce their "laws", I would advise them to start with Ivanishvili, Kobakhidze, Kavelashvili, Samkharadze", - said Gegelia.
