Everything these people are talking about and everything that is discussed in the resolution are completely absurd, - this is how the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, assessed the report prepared by the Council of Europe, which concerns the functioning of democratic institutions in Georgia.
According to Kobakhidze, all such resolutions are unfair and Georgian society no longer has a reaction to them.
“We are used to everything, such resolutions are not interesting either in the Council of Europe or in the European Parliament. We know what kind of process precedes the adoption of such resolutions and how fair such resolutions are.
It is precisely because all such acts are unfair that society no longer even has any reaction to such documents, therefore, all this is not interesting to us either.
Everything that these people are talking about and everything that is discussed in the resolution are completely absurd.
As for democracy, Georgia is the leading democracy not only among the candidate countries. This is the reality and the rest of what is in the resolution is not interesting to anyone,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
According to him, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is an absolutely uninteresting institution.
According to Kobakhidze, no one is interested in this institution or these resolutions.
"Therefore, neither from a practical nor from a symbolic point of view, such resolutions can have any significance for us. The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe itself has completely devalued itself.
The European Parliament is also within the framework of the European Union, but just as the European Parliament has devalued itself, so has the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Look at the situation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and you will see for yourself," the Prime Minister said.
