Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said that justice has been enforced against violent actors.
According to him, many people had attempted to use violence against the state or had acted violently toward it.
“We have enforced justice against violent actors. A large number of people tried to use violence against the state or acted violently against the state,” Kobakhidze said during his annual report in Parliament.
He explained that the government had adopted laws that helped stabilize the country:
“We have also called things by their proper names regarding people who serve not their own country but foreign powers. This refers both to so-called opposition parties, so-called non-governmental organizations, and so-called media outlets, and so on. If this were not the truth, it would have been difficult for us to deal with the challenges.
We adopted necessary laws - this is the second major measure that helped bring stability to the country, along with speaking the truth.
We have enforced justice against violent actors. Many people tried to act violently against the state or did act violently against it. In the end, we also had difficult periods when we were unable to ensure justice against violent actors. However, over the past year, we have radically changed the situation in this regard as well. Anyone who attempts violence against the state or the national interests of the country will be held accountable before the law, and our position will remain completely uncompromising in the future,” he said.
