Irakli Kobakhidze arrives in Kazakhstan

Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia has arrived in the Republic of Kazakhstan on an official visit.

According to the Government Administration, the Head of Government of Georgia was welcomed at Astana International Airport by Nurlan Sauranbayev, Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

An official welcoming ceremony for the Prime Minister of Georgia will be held today at the Palace of Independence in Astana. Irakli Kobakhidze will be hosted by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The programme includes one-on-one and expanded meetings between the Prime Minister of Georgia and the President of the host country, after which agreements on cooperation in various fields will be signed between the relevant institutions of the two countries.

As part of the official visit, the Prime Minister of Georgia will also meet Olzhas Bektenov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Members of the Cabinets of both countries will participate in the meeting.

The Prime Minister of Georgia is visiting Kazakhstan accompanied by a delegation comprising Maka Botchorishvili, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia; David Songhulashvili, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of Government Administration of Georgia.
