The wife of Bidzina Ivanishvili, founder of “Georgian Dream,” Ekaterine Ivanishvili, has responded to the appeal from the mother of murdered teacher Giga Avaliani.
“Interpressnews” presents the appeal unchanged:
“Dear Ms. Eka, I wholeheartedly sympathize with you and share your immense tragedy. I know there are no words that can ease a mother’s pain over the loss of her child, but I want you to know that you are not alone in this grief - every Georgian mother living in this country shares your sorrow.
As for your appeal to me, as far as I know, the investigation has not yet been completed. I am confident that the relevant state agencies will thoroughly investigate the case and all circumstances will be fully examined so that no question remains unanswered regarding the terrible tragedy that has befallen you. As one mother to another, as one woman to another, I wish you spiritual strength, fortitude, and peace,” Ekaterine Ivanishvili’s statement reads.
For information: The mother of the murdered teacher Giga Avaliani, Eka Kupatadze, went to Bidzina Ivanishvili’s residence yesterday and appealed to his wife, Ekaterine Ivanishvili, to stand by her side as one mother who has lost a child stands by another.
“Ms. Ekaterine Khvedelidze, I know that you are a loving mother. That is why today I came not to Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili’s house, but to the house of the mother of his children. I came to the house of a mother who has raised four children - a mother who has lost her child in the most sadistic way. May God never make you experience the bitterness I have gone through. You must understand with your mind and realize what kind of madness I am in today and what has brought me here. You must take a historic step and stand by me, as one mother by a grieving mother. There will never be a statute of limitations for Giga Avaliani! There is no force that can make him step back. I ask you to stand by my side. I await your response.
This is the most resonant case in Georgia in the last several decades. Society has never been so united, minds are tense, everything is being watched under a magnifying glass, and even the smallest mistake now will not reflect well on the dignity of the state. I await your response and am confident it will be fair and reasonable. I hope for your support, Ms. Ekaterine Khvedelidze,” Eka Kupatadze appealed.
