According to Zurab Chkhaidze, Clinical Director of “Vivamedi” clinic, the clinic will not be involved in the treatment process of “Droa” leader Elene Khoshtaria and will only provide infrastructure.
He stated that any necessary examinations required for the patient will be performed within the clinic’s facilities.
“‘Vivamedi’ is providing infrastructure. If necessary examinations are needed, they will be performed within the clinic. She will have her own attending physician. Whoever she considers necessary as her attending physician, their consultants will be involved. Our medical personnel will not participate in the treatment process. It is unknown when she will be transferred to the clinic. All questions that arise should be redirected to her attending physician,” Chkhaidze noted.
For information: On June 29, the Director General of the Special Penitentiary Service, Giorgi Pataridze, stated that the Penitentiary Service has given consent for the transfer of “Droa” founder Elene Khoshtaria to a civilian sector clinic. The relevant decision was made by Giorgi Pataridze after a meeting with opposition politician Elene Khoshtaria’s doctors - Maka Ioseliani and Ani Kavtaradze.
