An international investigation has established that the so-called smart surveillance video cameras installed on Tbilisi’s central streets are provided with software by a sanctioned Russian company. All of this confirms that the anti-Georgian “Georgian Dream” and Ivanishvili’s government have handed over the security of Georgia and the fate of Georgian citizens to the FSB, – stated Irakli Kupradze, Secretary General of “Lelo – Strong Georgia,” at a press conference.
According to Kupradze, there are very significant international foreign and domestic risks that will depend on the control and decisions of Putin’s Russia and the FSB.
Kupradze addressed citizens, saying that their personal information is in danger.
He also stated that they have “no demands on Ivanishvili’s Prosecutor’s Office,” because they have no expectation that the government will confront the FSB, to which it transfers information about Georgian citizens.
“This is a Russian operational system that can control citizens during their movement. This is a system that can register Georgian citizens on the streets of Tbilisi even when their faces are partially covered. All of this was activated by Ivanishvili’s anti-Georgian regime at a time when protests of tens of thousands were taking place on the streets of Tbilisi.
According to official information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, up to 10,000 video cameras have been installed in Georgia to date. The ‘Georgian Dream’ regime has been using cameras from sanctioned Chinese companies for years. The cameras belong to the Chinese Communist state and are manufactured there, while the software is provided by Putin’s Russia. These companies are Hikvision and Dahua. Both companies are sanctioned by the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and all developed democratic states that do not allow total control of citizens, violence, and protect their own citizens from the control of other totalitarian states.
Parallel to all this, Ivanishvili decided to persecute Georgian citizens, persecute them everywhere, and provide very important information to the Chinese Communist government and Putin’s Russia – one as the manufacturer of these video cameras, and the other as the software provider in the form of Putin’s Russia.
We have no demands. We are making this appeal to tell citizens that your personal information is in danger and that this government must be changed so that your personal rights, human rights, freedom, freedom of movement, and the protection of personal information are guaranteed,” Irakli Kupradze stated.
