The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited Georgia

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, along with an accompanying delegation, paid a state visit to Georgia.

At Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was met by Georgian Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili.

According to the President’s Administration, as part of the visit, meetings of Shavkat Mirziyoyev with Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze are planned. Agreements and memorandums of understanding will be signed in various fields.

“The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan will also lay a wreath at the Memorial to the Heroes who died for Georgia’s unity and will attend the opening ceremony of the monument to the poet Alisher Navoi,” the press service information states.
