Tamar Chergoleishvili: Saakashvili wants to create so much chaos that his party does not appear - as for an alliance, a unified list is irrelevant - a joint list of Saakashvili, Kiphiani, Gakharia, and Chergoleishvili would not even appear in our wildest dreams

"Where I and [Giga] Bokeria are involved, [Mikheil Saakashvili] understands that he cannot succeed through manipulation — nor through virtue signaling.

We have the need and the ability to be 'the bad guys' and say what is true," Tamar Chergoleishvili, leader of the Federalists party, said on PalitraNews program "Political Space."

According to her assessment, former President Mikheil Saakashvili is trying to disorient the opposition and attach other groups to himself.

"Saakashvili wants to create so much mud and chaos that his party — which is in extremely difficult condition and practically does not exist in Tbilisi at all — does not appear. For this, he needs to attach other parties to himself.

Where I and Bokeria are involved, Saakashvili understands that he cannot succeed through manipulation. We do not need virtue signaling either; we can be 'the bad guys' and say what is true. We can put uncomfortable truths right in front of people's faces.

Manipulative narcissists are afraid of authentic people who can tell the truth directly. They prefer to approach those who are more hesitant. That is why he is trying to create confusion and attach certain people to himself," Chergoleishvili said.

She also stated that if Saakashvili’s political advice were effective, it would first of all be reflected in the condition of his own party.

According to Chergoleishvili, the United National Movement is in such a state that it "cannot gather even 20 people."

"If Saakashvili's advice were useful, his own party would not have finished in fifth place. It would have benefited his own party. He himself admits that it is in a severe crisis. He has never stopped giving advice. If his advice had any value today, his party would have benefited.

Saakashvili exists only on television. They are in such a condition that they cannot gather even 20 people. They do not even have the resources to shoot videos; the party is dismantled and does not exist. He creates this noise in order to appear as someone's leader," she said.

Chergoleishvili also spoke about the opposition alliance, saying that the alliance is preparing for another rally planned for the autumn.

"There is no conflict among the members of the alliance. Everyone communicates with each other. On May 26, we announced that each of us has our own campaign — 'The Georgian people deserve better.' We will hold another rally in the autumn.

In any case, whatever the alternative will be, it will be the alliance. The alliance is a strategy for victory and a set of rules.

At the decisive stage, when the regime must be changed, a unified list is irrelevant. A joint list of Mikheil Saakashvili, Viktor Kiphiani, Giorgi Gakharia, and Chergoleishvili would not even appear in our wildest dreams," Chergoleishvili said.
