The Tbilisi City Court, based on evidence presented by the Prosecutor's Office, found eight individuals, including five minors, guilty of torture, organization and participation in a group action by an organized group motivated by intolerance, and group robbery.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, based on evidence presented by the Prosecutor's Office, the court sentenced two defendants to 14 years in prison, one to 8 years, and 5 minors to 10 years and 6 months, 9 years and 4 months, 6 years and 5 years and 4 months.

According to the agency, the evidence examined during the trial established that members of a group with a “fascist-Nazi” ideology, based on their ideology, organized violence against individuals with an unacceptable lifestyle, including minors, in which they themselves participated.

“In particular, in order to identify and punish people with different views, the members of the aforementioned group, under the motive of intolerance, attacked, humiliated, physically and psychologically abused and tortured pre-selected victims in an organized and group manner. Also, in many cases, they filmed videos of the violence and distributed the recordings in various social networks and closed groups. In some cases, the victims were also deprived of their personal belongings.

The Tbilisi City Court found the defendants fully guilty of the charges brought against them under Article 144, Part 3, Subparagraph “b” (torture by an organized group, two episodes), Article 144, Part 2, Subparagraph “g” and Part 3, Subparagraph “b” (torture by an organized group in the pre-trial detention period) of the Criminal Code of Georgia., Article 225, Parts 1 and 2 (organization of a group action and participation in it, accompanied by violence, three episodes) and Article 178, Part 2, Sub-paragraph “a” and Part 3, Sub-paragraph “a”.

The court sentenced two adult defendants to 14 years in prison each, and one to 8 years in prison. The sentences imposed on the juvenile defendants were reduced based on the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Code, and ultimately, one juvenile was sentenced to 10 years and 6 months in prison, two juveniles to 9 years and 4 months, one juvenile to 6 years, and one juvenile to 5 years and 4 months in prison," reads the information.
