Irakli Kobakhidze meets Singaporean Prime Minister

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

According to the Government Administration, the meeting focused on the two countries’ longstanding and productive relations, based on mutual respect and cooperation in areas of common interest.

“The sides discussed the importance of further intensifying political dialogue between the two countries and productive cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

The leaders also discussed the potential for deepening trade, economic and investment ties. In this context, attention was paid to the economic and structural reforms implemented in Georgia, the positive dynamics of economic growth, and the favorable business environment in the country.

The important role of Georgia in connecting Europe and Asia was emphasized. The sides also discussed prospects for cooperation in the transport and tourism sectors.

Irakli Kobakhidze invited the Prime Minister of Singapore to visit Georgia.

The Head of Government made a commemorative entry in the Distinguished Visitors’ Book at the Istana Presidential Palace,” the statement reads.
