According to the Georgian State Electrosystem, at approximately 08:00, electricity supply was temporarily cut off for a short period across the country.

"Recovery works are underway at this stage.

Shortly after the accident, from 08:05, electricity supply has been gradually restored to a large part of Tbilisi and regions. The process of fully restoring electricity throughout the country will be completed as soon as possible.

In parallel, the exact causes of the accident are being determined, about which we will provide additional information to the public," reads the information.

A system emergency outage in the country's energy system caused disruptions to electricity and telecommunication networks on July 24 as well. As a result, electricity supply was temporarily interrupted in Tbilisi and most regions of Georgia. The official reason for the outage has not been named at this time.
