The most important steps have been taken in the direction of the fight against terrorism — as a result of preventive measures, we have averted numerous threats, — this is what the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, stated in his speech at the event dedicated to the 11th anniversary of the founding of the State Security Service.
According to Irakli Kobakhidze, anti-corruption measures are an inseparable part of national security.
“The results of active work in this direction are seen by our society every day. In the future as well we will be uncompromising toward any form of corruption crime and everyone will be held strictly accountable before the law.
In all these achievements the role of the employees of the State Security Service is particularly important, and their proper appreciation is one of the foremost priorities of the Government of Georgia. We have significantly improved working conditions, increased remuneration, and strengthened social protection guarantees in the service, and we will continue to care about this in the future as well.
I thank the head of the State Security Service, Mr. Geka Geladze, the leadership of the service, and every employee. Your patriotism, dignity, and professionalism ensure the safe future of our children.
Once again I congratulate you on your professional day and, on behalf of the Government of Georgia, declare full support to you!” the head of the government stated.
