\Mikheil Saakashvili did not have an order to strain relations with Russia - on the contrary, he had an order to resolve, sort out relations and help Russia join international organizations - then such was the order, and today it is a completely different order! The world situation has changed and the agents’ policy has changed too! - this statement was made today by the First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Gia Volski.

Volski noted in the same context that the National Movement itself is well aware that "they did not interfere with Russia in any way".

Volsky also stated that the National Movement, while in power, signed a resolution stating that Russia was right in the 2008 war, blamed Georgian soldiers for this, and did not wage any legal battle against Russia.

“In the period before the 2008 war - in July - it was absolutely clear that hostilities would be inevitable. The full mobilization of Russian military units was underway near the Roki tunnel, but despite this, it is very suspicious that no alarm was raised, the Saakashvili government did not appeal to the Security Council. Moreover, when the war was over and the bodies of our soldiers were not yet cold, they signed an absolutely incomprehensible and treacherous resolution, which stated that Russia was forced to enter Georgia and everything that happened was the fault of Georgian soldiers.

The fact and the given is that there was no alarm, no tension and no confrontation in the legal sphere with Russia. On the contrary, everything was done as dictated to Saakashvili. This was the admission of Russia to the World Trade Organization and the development of relations, which characterizes two neighboring and friendly countries. In this extremely difficult situation that has arisen today, these people dare and taunt us that we have a pro-Russian policy. This is not a double standard - this is a serious conspiracy that requires serious study,” said Gia Volski.

According to Volski, there is no argument that the Georgian Dream is pursuing a Russian policy in the country.

“In practice, they accepted and implemented what was dictated to them, that a settlement with Russia was necessary. At that time, Russia was part of the “Big Eight”. Today, the situation is different. Today, they want a certain obedience from Georgia on certain issues, because relations with Russia have changed significantly and they also need Georgia’s involvement in the ongoing war - be it from an economic or military point of view. Today, the topic of the middle corridor is also much more relevant.

Therefore, the person who executes the order is called an agent. They want to accuse the Georgian Dream of pursuing Russian policy, although they have not presented any arguments for this. After 2012, what step has the Georgian Dream taken that has given Russia any advantage in pursuing its policy in the South Caucasus?
