Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Didier Trebucq, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Georgia.

According to the PM’s press offoce, the meeting highlighted the importance of joint efforts in implementing the 2026-2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework. It was noted that the five-year initiative is based, on the one hand, on Georgia's national priorities and, on the other, reflects the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The meeting also underscored the long-standing and productive cooperation between the Government of Georgia and United Nations agencies, which has contributed to strengthening the country's institutional capacities and supporting the implementation of consistent reforms.

The sides discussed the human rights and humanitarian situation in Georgia's occupied territories. The important role of the United Nations in protecting the rights of conflict-affected populations was also highlighted.
