Agency opposition parties, rich NGOs and ultra-left, pseudo-liberal activists - leaving everything else aside - with regard to the Russia-Ukraine war alone, you have made so many mistakes, and have displayed such a degree of lack of patriotism, fascist tendencies, ignorance, falsehood and hypocrisy, that it is a tragedy that you participate in politics, directly or indirectly, - this is what “Georgian Dream” MP Levan Machavariani writes on social media.

According to him, “Georgian Dream” reminds them every day that “for so much harm and filth” they owe an apology to the absolute majority of society.

“The agency opposition parties, rich NGOs and their ultra-left, pseudo-liberal activists, in addition to lack of patriotism, fully revealed their fascist tendencies, ignorance, falsehood and hypocrisy from the very start of the Russia-Ukraine war.

In the first days after the war began, they promised Ukraine that:- with Western help it would defeat Russia;- it would become a NATO member on an accelerated basis;- it would become a European Union member on an accelerated basis;- hundreds of billions of euros’ worth of frozen Russian assets would be transferred to it.

The war has been going on for the fifth year. Not a single one of these promises has been fulfilled, and these ‘sincere’ supporters of Ukraine have not protested against a single one of these issues. We have not heard a single word from any of these actors about such injustice toward Ukraine. The reason is that their patrons are the same forces that made these promises.

We remember the agency’s fake ‘care’ for Ukrainian refugees. Helping others is, of course, a good deed and only to be welcomed. However, if for a Georgian IDP who has suffered exactly the same misfortune you have not done even one hundredth of what you do for a citizen of a foreign country, you leave a legitimate impression that you are fake and a hypocrite, and that you are doing this only because of a ‘trend’.

We remember the complete hysteria around the Ukrainian flag. The unnatural waving of the flag, hanging it from balconies, sticking Ukrainian flag colours on cars, phones and various items. When you have not coloured even one hundredth of that in the colours of the Georgian flag, here too you leave a legitimate impression that you are fake and a hypocrite, and that you are doing this only because of a ‘trend’.

I want to remind you how Davit Arakhamia was ‘ashamed’ of being Georgian because of our government’s peace policy. Because of the peace in our country, the agency, together with Arakhamia, was also ashamed of being Georgian.

Let us not forget Nino Lomjaria’s shame either over the non-imposition of sanctions. As she herself noted, she preferred a rain of bombs to this shame.

Let us also recall Eka Gigauri’s calls. Apparently Russia was being defeated and we should have used this window of opportunity to start a war in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali.

With what agitation the spoilers listened to the calls of high-ranking Ukrainian officials that we should help with people, that we should ride tanks into the occupied territories. Gvaramia recently explained this agitation by saying that he is very saddened that the large tranches that will be allocated for the reconstruction of destroyed Ukraine will leave Georgia without this money, because of the peace preserved in our country.

We remember how these hypocrites, dressed in military uniforms, went to Ukraine to take photos.

Unfortunately, we even remember how they envied Ukraine!

Their support for Prigozhin’s so-called ‘revolution’ was a manifestation of the extreme form of ignorance. The agency opposition, rich NGOs and their ultra-left, pseudo-liberal activists, excited and agitated, supported Prigozhin seizing power. They wanted a person who is the main perpetrator of the mass slaughter of innocent people, including in Bucha, to become the ruler of one of the world’s most powerful nuclear states. They believed that under Prigozhin the world would be more just and safer.

When Ukraine recalled its ambassador from Georgia because of the non-fulfilment of demands whose fulfilment would have led to immediate military confrontation with Russia, the agency tried through rallies to force the government to fulfil these demands, i.e. to involve the country in the war. I spoke about this issue at great length in one of my previous posts.

And when Mr Zelenskyy expelled our heroic ambassador from Ukraine, the spoilers did not even dare to raise their voice. An ambassador who did not leave Kyiv for a single minute during the bombings. They knew that if they raised their voice they would get their ears boxed by their patrons.

The radicals, by the most fascist methods, forbade people from expressing an opinion about this war if that opinion did not fit the narrative that their patrons had created globally. Any person, no matter how much of a supporter of Ukraine they might be, if they expressed even a moment’s doubt about Ukraine’s unconditional victory and Russia’s destruction, was immediately labelled a ‘Russophile’, belittled and ground into the dirt. They forbade people from thinking and reasoning!

For all these years the representatives of the agency tried to create the perception that we were not helping Ukraine. They tried by fascist methods to impose this perception on our citizens. Not a single one of their representatives has ever mentioned that we joined every resolution and international document in support of Ukraine, sheltered up to 30,000 Ukrainian refugees, assigned them social assistance and gave children the opportunity to study in their native language, and that in terms of the volume of humanitarian aid provided to Ukraine we are in leading positions. No country of our scale and capabilities has done as much in this direction.
