This is yet another “Kotsuri” stroll around Europe for the purpose of taking photos, which, unfortunately, will bring no benefit whatsoever to Georgian national interests, - this is how Grigol Gegelia, Foreign Secretary of “Lelo - Strong Georgia,” assessed Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s participation in the planned summit in France.

As he noted, today foreign policy serves the purpose of getting into a photo once in a thousand times, and not the interests of the Georgian people.

“We remember how, with ‘Kotsuri’ donkey-cunning, this regime tries to present the matter as if, for a ‘Kotsuri’ price - that is, without doing anything - it is possible to normalize relations with Europe. We have all seen that this is one big myth. Everyone, both in Georgia and beyond its borders, knows very well that for a ‘Kotsuri’ price, with these donkey-cunning tricks, this regime will not be able to normalize relations from any substantive point of view. The only thing that Georgian foreign policy manages to achieve once in a thousand times today is getting into a photo somewhere, but no foreign-policy interest, no national good, nor any diversification of foreign trade, economic or political relations takes place under the conditions of this policy, which means that today foreign policy serves the purpose of getting into a photo once in a thousand times, and not the protection of the political and economic interests of the Georgian people on the international stage,” - Gegelia stated.

For reference, Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, at the invitation of the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, will take part in the first international summit on space issues planned in Paris.
