It is clearly visible whom I am insulting, by quoting the same person - this is Margarita Simonyan and those who are in the studio - they are charging me under Article 166, which means swearing at another person and not at a public official, - this was stated by civil activist Tornike Razmadze in a video address, thereby responding to the clarification by the Directorate for Combating Hate Speech that Tornike Razmadze is being accused of insulting Irakli Kobakhidze on social media.
According to him, they are trying to invent things and have also attached the comment of another person “which, it is clearly visible, is swearing at Irakli Kobakhidze.”
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs released a statement on the case opened against me; they attached the comment of another person which, it is clearly visible, is swearing at Irakli Kobakhidze, as if they want to present it propagandistically that Tornike is connected with this.
This is a lie! It is clearly visible whom I am insulting, by quoting the same person - this is Margarita Simonyan and those who are in the studio. They are charging me under Article 166, which means swearing at another person and not at a public official. If they had considered it swearing at a public official, there is another article; there would have been another article in the resolution of my case. It is not even subject to discussion that I am being charged with swearing at Irakli Kobakhidze or any person of ‘Georgian Dream.’
They propagandistically ‘put me together’ with that person who swore at Kobakhidze. I apologize to that person; it is possible that a protocol would not have been drawn up against him at all, and that they included him in this matter because they needed it in connection with my case.
This is the reality; they cannot change or invent anything, except to admit that they opened a case against me for swearing at Simonyan and Vladimir Solovyov. This is a shame; they saw the uniform reaction of society, people were outraged - people are insulting Erekle II and for giving an answer to that person how could you open a case - they are trying to invent things. I am holding the evidence in my hand - the protocol drawn up and sent by them,” - Razmadze noted.
For reference, civil activist Tornike Razmadze disseminated information that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is accusing him of insulting “Russian propagandists.” Specifically, according to Tornike Razmadze, the Directorate for Combating Hate Speech established within the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated administrative proceedings against him over the verbal insult of Margarita Simonyan and Vladimir Solovyov.
Later, the Directorate for Combating Hate Speech of the Human Rights Protection Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified that civil activist Tornike Razmadze is being accused of insulting Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
