Moldovan Parliament Speaker: Georgia is envious of Moldova because we are making faster progress on the path to European integration

Moldovan Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said that the Georgian authorities frequently criticize Moldova because Moldova has made greater progress than Georgia on the path to European integration.

“Georgia never misses an opportunity to criticize us. They are very envious of Moldova because we are moving forward more quickly on the path to European integration,” the parliamentary speaker said in an interview with TV8.

For reference, Ukraine and Moldova have moved closer to joining the European Union. Yesterday, the EU opened two additional clusters in their accession negotiations: “Internal Market” and “Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth.”
