Giorgi Talakhadze, detained near the Atoneli Palace on 4 October, after leaving prison: Everything is true – there is unsanitary conditions and unbearable conditions in prison! I did not even know the names of some insects and now I learned them after seeing them there

Everything is true: there is unsanitary conditions and unbearable conditions in prison! I did not even know the names of some insects and now I learned them after seeing them there, – this was stated by Giorgi Talakhadze, detained in connection with the events that developed near the Atoneli Palace on 4 October, when leaving the penitentiary institution.

As Giorgi Talakhadze noted, “being in prison is not easy.”

“I met a great many people; I want to thank everyone and hope they leave these vile walls soon. In prison, as you know, [the conditions] are bad.

Everything is true: there is unsanitary conditions and unbearable conditions! I did not even know the names of some insects and now I learned them after seeing them there,” – stated Giorgi Talakhadze to TV Pirveli.

When leaving prison, a comment was also made by Kakha Kvachantiradze, a convicted person detained in connection with the events of 4 October.

As Kakha Kvachantiradze noted, “sometimes a tactical retreat is necessary to achieve a strategic goal.”

“I will say briefly – ‘Kotsoba’ is breaking. I wish freedom to every political prisoner and decent person. People are waiting for an amnesty, because there are very many prisoners who consider their imprisonment unjust.

Sometimes a tactical retreat is necessary to achieve a strategic goal. This strategic goal is an independent democratic Georgia. A government that is praised by friends and cursed by enemies. With us, unfortunately, the opposite is happening,” – noted Kakha Kvachantiradze.

For information: several convicted persons detained in connection with the events that developed near the Atoneli Palace on 4 October have left prison.

They were released from the Gldani penitentiary institution on the basis of a plea agreement. Among them are Kakha Kvachantiradze, Giorgi Talakhadze and others.
