In Batumi, a protest rally has been announced outside the building of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, running parallel to the hearing of the lawsuit seeking to declare 5 opposition forces unconstitutional.
Representatives of opposition parties will start the protest rally on October 21 at 11:00 AM.
According to Bondo Theodoradze, a member of the "United National Movement", representatives of opposition forces and citizens will gather near the court building starting from the morning.
According to him, one of the most "shameful and criminal" processes in the history of Georgia will take place in the Constitutional Court, where the issue of banning political parties is to be discussed.
"On October 21, one of the most shameful and criminal court trials in the history of Georgia will take place in the Constitutional Court. You know that the Russian government plans to ban parties. We will gather and plan to participate in the court process; lawyers will personally attend the session, while we will protest this crime outside the building. In a civilized country that lays claim to development, democratic, and Western values, such processes are neither taking place in the present nor planned for the future," states Bondo Theodoradze.
