112 Service starts working in emergency mode

As a result of the spread of viral infections in the country, the 112 Service has started working in an emergency mode.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 70 instead of 40 people are working in a shift.

"The 112 Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs receives citizens' notifications from all country round-the-clock and transmits them to the relevant emergency services: emergency medical care centers of Tbilisi and regions, patrol police and fire/rescue services”, reads the statement of the Ministry.

Due to the current situation, the 112 Service urges citizens to call ambulance only in case of urgency, while in other cases, the Service recommends population to go to outpatient centers and family doctors," reads the statement.
