Composer Manana Imedadze denies information spread by Director of National Center for Disease Control

Composer Manana Imedadze has responded to the statement of Amiran Gamkrelidze, Director of the National Center for Disease Control, according to which, her dead daughter-in-law had been suffering from serious illness apart from the virus.

As Manana Imedadze posted in the social network, her daughter-in-law did not have serious chronic illness and called that information absurd.

“Amiran Gamkrelidze, Director of the National Center for Disease Control, spread false information, saying that my Salome had some serious chronic illness apart from the virus, which he cannot name without family’s consent. This is absolutely absurd! Please, refrain from making such false statements," Manana Imedadze writes.

Amiran Gamkrelidze, Director of the National Center for Disease Control, stated today that the 22-year-old woman was suffering from a very severe disease apart from H1N1, but he could not speak about the details considering the patient’s rights.
