Turkish Airlines to perform first Ankara-Tbilisi-Ankara flight on January 18

Turkish Airlines will perform the first Ankara-Tbilisi-Ankara flight on January 18.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia informs that opening ceremonies will be held in Ankara and Tbilisi International Airports.

"The opening ceremony will be attended by high-profile guests, media representatives, Ambassador of Georgia to Turkey Giorgi Janjghava and Ambassador of Turkey to Georgia Fatma Seren Yazga.

The decision on appointment of the first regular flights was made in Ankara, at the meeting between the Ambassador of Georgia to Turkey and the President of Turkey. This is the first time when a direct flight will be implemented between capitals of two countries that will facilitate deepening of existing strategic cooperation between Georgia and Turkey, namely, in the direction of tourism, trade-economic and culture, "the Foreign Ministry said.
