US Embassy expresses its condolences to Georgian people

The United States Embassy to Georgia expresses its heartfelt condolences to the people of Georgia over the January 16 tragedy in Didi Dighomi, Tbilisi.

“The United States Embassy wishes to express its heartfelt condolences to the people of Georgia in light of the January 16 tragedy in Didi Dighomi. Our thoughts and prayers are with our Georgian friends,” the Embassy has posted on its Facebook page.

Four people, including a minor, died and eight others were injured, including six minors, in the gas exposition in Didi Dighomi district of Tbilisi yesterday. The Interior Ministry has launched an investigation under article 240 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving violation of safety regulations.
