Police detain two Turkish citizens for illegal border crossing

The employees of Border Police have detained two citizens of Turkey at Sarpi Border Checkpoint ,- the Ministry of Internal Affairs told InterPressNews.

An investigation has established that the detainees illegally crossed Georgian-Turkish border by avoiding the BCP control.

The nvestigation is in progress on the fact of illegal crossing of the state border, article 344, II part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.

The detainees face 4-5 years in prison.
