Armenia’s Investigative Committee to study why Dimitri Andreyev had cell phone in prison

The InterPressNews agency has addressed the Ministry of Justice of Armenia regarding Dimitri Andreyev, who stands accused in connection with the secret videos showing private life.

According to the letter received from the Ministry of Justice of Armenia, in accordance with the country's law, inmates are not allowed to use mobile phones or internet in prison, and Armenia’s Investigative Committee is studying how it happened that Dimitri Andreyev, who is serving a prison term in Yerevan for committing a murder, had a cell phone and internet in prison.

Dimitri Andreyev was declared by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia as a person who uploaded secret videos showing private life to his Facebook page on February 9. He is serving a prison term in Armenia together with his wife. The couple was convicted of murdering a taxi driver.
