20 students of Ilia State University School of Business continue hunger strike demanding resignation of Giga Zedania, Rector of the university. One of the students Gigi Nozadze told InterPressNews that the students plan to discuss their requirements on Monday at the meeting with the University leadership.

“Today the university rector Giga Zedania told us that it would be good if the working group would be set up. We do not behave like a stubborn child and we agree with this proposal, we are compromising and are ready for negotiations if there will not be the same narrative and the students’ opinion is taken into account, "Gigi Nozadze said.

A group of Ilia State University students went on hunger strike two days ago. They are demanding resignation of university rector Giga Zedania and reappointment of former rector Giorgi Kadagidze to the post. The students ask Education Minister Mikheil Batiashvili to study the current processes in the university, including its financial activities.
