29-year-old man, detained by de-facto  authorities, commits suicide

A 29-year-old man, who was detained by de-facto authorities, has committed suicide, - the State Security Service of Georgia said on Tuesday.

“According to the information provided by de-facto Abkhazian authorities through the EUMM-managed Hotline, citizen of Georgia Irakli Kvaratskhelia (DoB 1990), who is a native of occupied Gali district, has committed suicide. According to the same information, Irakli Kvaratskhelia was detained by de-facto authorities.

The State Security Service of Georgia is conducting activities aimed at identification of the objective circumstances related to the death of the mentioned person through all available instruments. The State Security Service of Georgia offers its condolences to the family of the deceased citizen,” reads the statement of the State Security Service of Georgia.
