Irakli Kvaratskhelia’s body transferred to Georgian controlled territory

The body of Irakli Kvaratskhelia, who died in the Gali district, has been transferred to Georgian controlled territory.

Relatives of Irakli Kvaratskhelia, Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality Ruslan Dabashidze and representatives of the State Security Service were waiting for the body at the Enguri Bridge.

The body will reportedly be sent for the examination.

Information about the death of Irakli Kvaratskhelia was released yesterday by the State Security Service of Georgia. According to the information provided by de-facto Abkhazian authorities through the EUMM-managed hotline, Irakli Kvaratskhelia (DoB 1990), who was a resident of the occupied district of Gali, committed suicide. According to the same information, Irakli Kvaratskhelia had been detained by the de-facto authorities.
