Prisoners of other countries will serve their sentence in Georgian prisons

The Ministry of Justice has signed a document in Hague, according to which, prisoners of other countries will serve their sentence in Georgia’s prisons, - Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani said while reporting before the lawmakers within the "Minister's Hour" in the Parliament

"We continue to cooperate with The Hague International Court of Justice. It is important that in 2016, we started negotiations upon the initiative of Fatu Benusuda : Georgia to receive several prisoners, who will serve their sentence in Georgian prisons if the Hague Court needs it. The three-year negotiations have been completed successfully and in The Hague we signed the Memorandum. Under this memorandum, we’ve become one of those states that are "unsuccessful" in some people’s opinion. These are: Austria, Belgium, Finland, Norway, Switzerland, Great Britain and North Ireland, " Tea Tsulukiani said.
